About

Albionoria is a baroque ensemble founded in 2023 off
ering performances that exude freedom and offers a fresh and alive energy in their performances and interpretation of Baroque music. Albionoria has proudly performed in esteemed venues such as Tivoli Vredenburg, Kastel Daelenbroeck, Kloosterkerk and Kasteel Duivenvoorde; they have performed in notable early music series such as Musica Antica and t’Huis te Poort. The ensemble was recently selected as semi-finalists in the Concours van Wassenaer as part of the Early Music Festival in Utrecht. Albionoria is interested in performing newly composed pieces written especially for this setting by Sevastianos Motorinos. They are also keen on collaborating with artists across various mediums including film and visual arts. Recently the group collaborated with Helle Huisman in her film Sonata di Para
ffina e Paradossi that is a commentary on climate change through a focus on viniculture and wine landscapes. As an ensemble they embrace freedom and joy in our collaborative performances creating a sense of connection not only with the ensemble but with our audiences. By stepping beyond the confines of tradition we craft experiences that both are artistically daring and emotionally engaging.
